Teaching for over thirty years has brought great happiness to math teacher Franklin Cohen. He still teaches the same energy and enthusiasm he had fresh out of college.

Cohen was born and raised in New Jersey. After high school, Mr. Cohen attended Michigan state university as an undergraduate student. He majored in mathematics and Spanish. He said he enjoyed his years at Michigan State. He attended George Washington University where he received a masters degree. The one thing he regrets, was not participating in the student exchange program. "If I had attended the program, I would have been fluent with my Spanish speaking skills." He enjoys teaching at Blair because of the diversity his Spanish speaking skills have improved.

Cohen worked at Wilson High School before he came to Blair. He said working at Wilson was very exciting. Cohen loves teaching Math and he pushes his students to be the best they can be. Cohen believes that every student has the ability to achieve whatever they want.

Cohen Moved to Maryland in 1997 and he started teaching at Montgomery Blair High School. He said he loves working at Blair, and meeting new students and staff. "To be a stuff member at a school where there is a huge diversity over students and stuff has lots of advantage. He thinks Blair is the right place for him to teach.
