MCPS uses Blair in instructional video
A crew from MCPS Instructional TV and a representative of the MCPS Food and Nutrition Services Division were at Blair during 5B lunch on Tuesday. The group was taking footage for an instructional video series about Food and Nutrition in MCPS.
The footage from Blair will be used to augment an already existing video that discusses the county's current policies. According to Food and Nutrition Supervisor Marla R. Caplon, that initial video is actually the bulk of the series. "This is just a rollout for the previous series about the food policies at Blair," she said.
Producer Mike Murdock described that the videos are meant to serve the needs of a wide audience. Describing the series he said, "[it is] something that parents can watch to learn about MCPS policies or County Council members can watch when making decisions."
MCPS wishes to use this series as an official source on the current requirements on Food and Nutrition. "The videos are meant to represent policies on nutrition and health in the county," said Murdock.
