Co-captain injured in 5-4 victory
APR 23, BLAKE HIGH SCHOOL--
Blair beat Blake High School tonight, 5-4. It was Blair's second one-run victory in a row but also the team's second in a row against a top county team. However, the team suffered a setback when senior co-captain and right fielder Carly Vieira injured her knee.
The Blazers played subpar defense throughout the game, and despite pleasing Coach Louis Hoelman by building an early lead, the Blazers let Blake stay in the game. However, tenacity again proved to be in Blair's favor and the team eked out another close victory. The Blazers, with a 6-1 record, are currently in first place in their division.
