Senior Sebastian Johnson will continue on Jeopardy Teen Tournament although he did not win his quarterfinal round yesterday, Feb. 6.

In addition to the five quarterfinals winners, the four top scoring contestants will advance to the semifinals. Johnson will be returning to the tournament as one of the "wild card" contestants, who will be officially named on Friday, Feb. 10.

Johnson placed second in his game to Andrew Kreitz, a Civil War re-enactor from California. Although both contestants' scores were "pretty close," said Johnson, prior to Final Jeopardy, Kreitz's bet and correct answer landed him just above Johnson's final score of $10,700. Kreitz's final score was $11,200.

Although Kreitz could have used the "Civil War" category to gain a decisive advantage during the Double Jeopardy round, Johnson managed to buzz in before his Civil War-buff opponent. Other categories featured included "science," "emoticons" and "at the mall."

The semifinal round will air on Monday, Feb. 13 on ABC 7 at 7:30 p.m. For a list of all quarterfinalists and additional information, visit the Jeopardy web site.
