At 1:28 p.m., Blair's Assistant Principal Aaron Bernstein announced a school-wide lockdown. Students and families were emailed at 1:39 saying, âMontgomery Blair is currently in a lockdown situation. Security and MCPD are addressing the situation, which is currently safe and secure. We will update with more information shortly. Please be patient for more information.âÂ
According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) X page, âOne person has been detained, and it has been determined that there was no gun.â As of 1:55 p.m., Blair transitioned into a secure state, allowing classroom activity to continue.
At 1:58 P.M, Blair was released from a secure state to normal operations. An announcement with more details from Mr.Monteleone is expected later in the day.Â
