Zip-lining, sports and food were some of the attractions of Senior Unity Day
On Sept. 27, Blair seniors departed from school after second period to Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Md. for a day of adventure, food and unity. Activities included softball, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe games and miniature golf. The zip-line course was a major attraction with several riders hopping right back on for another trip.
Lunch consisted of traditional hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, potato chips, lemonade and unlimited soft drinks. The airbrush tattoo artist was also a popular highlight. Senior Claudia Young explains how getting an airbrush tattoo was her favorite part of Senior Unity Day. “While we were waiting in line and getting the tattoo done, there was music and dancing and people playing around. It was super fun,” Young said. Even though it was a dreary, rainy day, seniors came out to enjoy the the fun events and bond with their graduation class.
