Seniors attend the college fair on College Readiness Day
On Oct.10, the annual college fair was held in the gym at Montgomery Blair High School. After a quick breakfast, the senior class headed to the gym at 8:30 a.m. Representatives, including those from the University of Maryland and Montgomery College, and members from all branches of the army were present.
After the college fair ended, breakout sessions were held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. At the workshops, seniors received edits for their college essays, went over the TrailBlazer packet, and learned about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There was also a presentation for students interested in medical careers.
In the afternoon, students participated in a workshop about abuse and domestic violence, where they learned about what they should do if they experienced or had knowledge of incidents of abuse.
