Blair football gets set for huge game against Richard Montgomery

It's essentially a playoff game for both teams

The Blair Blazers (6-3) will face the Richard Montgomery Rockets (6-3) on Friday at Blair Stadium. Both teams come into this match with playoff aspirations, but it's likely only the winner will qualify for that coveted playoff spot. Blair has looked phenomenal recently, putting up over 40 points in each of their last three games. Senior RB Brandon Ntankeu has proved himself to be one of the to rushers in the county, having compiled 875 yards on the ground this season. Ntankeu will have a tougher task this week as the Rockets come into Silver Spring with one of the best defenses in the area.

Even though this a huge game for the Blazers, the coaches and players are treating it like any other. "We're practicing just as hard as we normally do. Our coaches have set an excellent game plan for us. We're doing all the steps to make sure we get a dub," Junior DL Will Osborne says.

Blair needs a win to get into the 4A North playoffs for the second time in three years and begin a run for the state championship.
