The 2009 winter sports award night was held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Blair auditorium. Coaches and event coordinators presented awards to athletes in recognition of their athleticism, sportsmanship and academic performance.
Athletic Director Dale Miller began the ceremony with a speech praising coaches, athletes and parents for their dedication to making the winter sports season a success. After these opening remarks, Principal Darryl Williams distributed patches to the 23 Scholar Athletes with a 4.0 grade point average (GPA). Event coordinators also handed out certificates honoring the 112 athletes who maintained a GPA of 3.25 or above during the season.
