Blair’s fall production comes to a bittersweet close

After many late-night rehearsals and shows, Blair’s student performers and technical production crew are wrapping up the fall production, Troy Story Three. The Shakespearean tragedy is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida created by Blair teacher Kelly O'Connor’s husband, John O’Connor. The storyline focuses on the Trojan War but also bears an exciting twist to the classic play by incorporating Greek gods and goddesses for narration and context.

Senior Willow Edge, president of stage crew and head of sound crew, explains how the addition of Greek mythology makes the play lighthearted and fun. “Blazers and their families should come out and watch because it’s a good lesson on history. The gods make it an engaging show and help the audience follow along,” Edge said. Junior Matt Weinsheimer, stage crew member, thinks the play was very successful and that everyone’s hard work paid off. “It went very well. The actors are super talented, and everything went off without a hitch,” Weinsheimer said.

Opening night was last Thursday, Nov. 8, followed by additional shows on Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17.
