B2K splits up

It is a day of infamy for some teenage R&B fans; B2K has broken up. The four idolized boys, Omarion, J-boog, Raz-B and Lil' Fizz, are planning different projects.

On Jan. 5, Chris Stokes, the boys' manager since the beginning of their success, announced that inner turmoil was the main factor in their break-up.

Stokes said that this came at a time where everything was coming their way, and, although seeing them go is hard, he wishes them well. "We've had a great run together making hit songs, albums and now movies," said Stokes. "The kids are growing up and are interested in pursing their own careers. I have enormous respect for each of them, and I wish them success in their pursuit of their individual careers. B2K was an extremely talented singing group that will surely be missed."

Stokes will continue to manage Omarion, and his brother and solo artist Marques Houston.

The remaining members of B2K are not going to disappear in a flash; J-boog, Raz-B and Lil' Fizz will be sticking together. Pictures were taken of them signing a contract with entertainment company CMX.Whether the three will continue with the same name is unknown, but, according to CMX president Tom Ekers, they will be staying together.

Their break-up came at an unexpected time. Their movie You Got Served is being released at the end of the month and they are all committed to a Pennsylvania show that they had postponed for Feb. 6th.
