Blair held its first activity fair this year today.
With an overwhelming response of over 30 clubs represented, the fair was pushed from its usual location around the elevator down Blair Boulevard to cover the hallway between the media center and the auditorium.
Each club had a table that they decorated with distinctive objects representing their activity. International Club, the Frisbee Club, and the Korean Club each had televisions with VCRs which showed taped events from previous years. Robotics Club displayed two examples of their robots which, controlled by club members at their table, roamed Blair Boulevard flashing multicolored lights and waving their mechanical arms. Stage Crew, at their table, displayed examples of props and technical aspects from past shows, including a cow from ”Into the Woods,” a donkey head from ”A Midsummer Night's Dream,” and two lights projecting images of fire and trees onto the ceiling below the main stairs.
Although many clubs had elaborate tables set up to draw the eye of students walking past, some clubs had more simple displays consisting of a sign-up list and a student representative of the club who stood by, ready to answer any questions about the club.
