Students exhibit talents through the arts


The 2004 Magnet Arts Night will be held on Friday February 20 at 7 pm in the auditorium.

The competition for this year's show was fierce, as only 17 out of 40 groups were accepted to perform through a process of auditions.

The following groups will be performing this Friday:

1. Koyel Bhattacharyya "Claire de Lune"
2. Skosh performing "Go Daddy"
3. Vocal performace of "May it be" by Elizabeth Finn.
4. Indian Group Dance by Monika Chadda, Anjana Mohanty, Jahvi Bhaskar, Seema Kacker, Neha Rustagi, Kiran Belani, Sreela Namboodiri.
5. A String Quartet performing Beethoven's first quintet Opus 18
6. Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.
7. Squeeze Bayou performing "Poor Orphan Child"
8. Chinese Wushu
9. "Yakusoko" by Love Hina
10. A parody of "La Vie Boheme"

Intermission

11. Liszt solo by David Kim
12. Blues Band performing "Greg Vieria Experience"
13. A remix of Abbot and Costello's famous baseball skit
14. Raving and Martial Arts with glow sticks.
15. Acapella version of where in the world is Carmen Sandiego
16. Funkier than Superman performing "Bubble Wrap Blues"
17. "One" from the musical chorus line
18. Getting Nerdy with it
